Revival, Homecoming, and Other Services

New Concord Baptist Church is holding a revival from April 21st-24th at the church located at 5500 State Route 1241, Melber, KY. Evangelist Brother Randy McPheron, who is the founder of Baptist Bikers of Kentucky, will be the guest speaker, and Brother Roger Wilkerson will lead music. On Sunday, April 21st at 10 AM there’ll be a special concert featuring Lonnie and Edith King, with worship to follow at 11 AM. On Sunday evening, there will be a motorcycle ride at 3 PM, with hot dogs, chips, and drinks to follow at 4 PM. The rest of the revival services will start at 6:30 pm each night, Monday-Wednesday. Community Events

House of Worship Ministry is hosting the “Courageous Men’s Conference” on Saturday, April 20th from 9am-2pm at the church located at 4282 State Route 94 East, Sedalia, Kentucky 42079. Men and young men of all ages are welcome to attend.   A free lunch will be provided, as well as giveaways. You can call Brian lee with any questions you may have at 270-804-3630.

Murray First Baptist Church is hosting “John, His Story,” an Easter drama, in their Family Life Center located at 203 S 4th St, Murray, KY 42071 from March 24th through March 27th. Presented by Murray Calloway County Easter Drama, this is a retelling of Jesus’ life according to the book of John. The cast includes Chad Delancey, Nathan Carter, Serenity Dunn, and Sarah Cunningham. Doors open at 6:30 pm each night, and the drama starts at 7 pm. The Kiwanis Club of Paducah is holding their Bunny Hop 5k/10k/ Run/walk and Kids 1-mile fun run/walk on Saturday, April 13th at Bob Noble Park located at 2801 Park Avenue, Paducah, Kentucky, 42001. It’s a great and fun event for families, friends, and neighbors to support the community by running, walking, and even hopping as the club raises money for local children and charities. Early registration before March 20th guarantees a shirt. The 10K starts at 3pm and the 5K starts at 3:30pm, with the 1-mile fun run starting at 5. For more information, email the club at  info@paducahkiwanis.com.

Fundraisers

The Way Christian Youth Center will be presenting Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” April 12th-14th at the center located at 197 Lafayette Street, Cadiz, Kentucky 42211. This is fundraiser for “The Way’s” proposed Education/Discipleship Building. The play will be held at 6 pm on April 12th and 13th, and at 3 pm on the 14th. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at “The Way” or at Cadiz Ace Hardware during regular business hours. Calvert City Nursing and Rehab is holding a golf scramble on Friday, May 3rd at 1 pm, with lunch at 12 pm, at the Calvert City Golf and Country Club located at 123 Country Club Ln, Calvert City, KY 42029. Cost is $300.00 per team, with hole sponsorships available, as well as private person or “in remembrance” sponsors. Contests for the day will include “Closest to the Pin” and “Long Drive,” for both men and women. Payouts for the event will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 8th place teams.
