Caring and Sharing, located behind Glendale Church of Christ in Murray, provides a charity food pantry on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. as well as a clothing ministry on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Caring and Sharing invites you to join them for a Bible study followed by a free meal on Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Caring and Sharing accepts new and used clothes from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. The Marshall County Public Library Benton Branch is hosting “Baby and Me Storytime” for babies newborn through 2 years old. The event will be every Thursday in March from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Learn seven simple things you can do each day to help your child’s early literacy skills. CFSB’s 32nd Annual 5k & 1 Mile Tater Trot will be Saturday, April 1 at the Mike Miller Park Soccer Fields. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., the 5K begins at 9:00 a.m. and the fun walk begins at 9:30 a.m. Awards will be presented and all participants receive a shirt. The Humane Society of Calloway County and Murray State University’s Animal Health Technology/Pre-veterinary Club are hosting their annual Animal Health Technology and Pet ID Day on Saturday, April 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at A. Carman Animal Health on College Farm Road directly across from Calloway County High School. Pets that are old enough must have proof of current rabies vaccination to participate. Murray State animal health technology and pre-veterinary students under the direction of licensed veterinarians will provide free physical exams for dogs and cats. Other services offered include: heartworm test for dogs, feline leukemia, and immunodeficiency tests. They will offer baths and cleaning packages including nails and ears. Microchipping, DNA tests and custom pet id tags will also be available. The Marshall County Public Libraries will be celebrating Spring Break, April 4 – April 6 at all three branches. Tuesday, April 4 will be Dino Day at the Calvert City branch from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. There will be a special story hour program featuring a bounce house and special guest. Wednesday, April 5 will be Barnyard Buddies at the Benton branch starting at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. A special mother goose program featuring farm animals. Thursday, April 6 will be the Animal Show at the Hardin branch from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. This program will feature friends from the Natural History Educational Company of the Midsouth. The Garden and Outdoor Living EXPO will be held Friday, April 7 & Saturday, April 8, at the James Bruce Convention Center, located on 303 Conference Center Drive in Hopkinsville.
