Christian comedian Chonda Pierce will be visiting Heartland Worship Center in Paducah on Thursday, April 26, as part of her tour called Getting Back to Funny. Finding Favour will be in concert Sunday, May 6, at the Journey Church in Hopkinsville. The concert begins at 6:00. The Journey Church is located at 425 Millbrooke Drive in Hopkinsville. The concert is free and a love offering will be received. Pre-registration is required, and you can visit  www.itickets.com to register.

Community Events

Trace Creek Baptist Church, located at 3577 State Route 131 in Mayfield, will be hosting the annual Empty Bowls Project Saturday, April 28, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The event will include food tasting, drawings for door prizes and a silent auction. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Trace Creek Church office, The Good News Shoppe in Mayfield, and the Mayfield-Graves County Needline and Food Pantry. Made To Stay will be hosting a trivia and BBQ night Thursday, May 3, from 6:30 until 8:30, at The Riff event center, located at 2055 Irvin Cobb Drive in Paducah. The event is free, and you can purchase food and drink at the venue. For more information, call 270-331-9288.

Fundraisers

On Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11, Heartland Ministries Radio is holding a yard sale to benefit Elevate FM. The sale will be held at the WoodmenLife Building in Benton at 1005 Poplar Street. If you have items that you would like to donate for the sale, bring them to the WoodmenLife Building in Benton on May 8 or 9. If you have items you want to donate but can’t wait until the drop off dates, call us at 800-467-4095 to arrange accommodations. 100% of the proceeds from the event will directly benefit Heartland Ministries Radio. Dexter Baptist Church hosts Celebrate Recovery from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. each Tuesday evening. Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step Christ-centered recovery meeting program for anyone who struggles with hurts, habits, or hang-ups. For more information, call 270-625-0176.
